Barger Family Vacation 2013 Part III: Rexburg and Idaho Falls, ID

The first thing we did when we got to Idaho Falls was visit the cemetary where Katy is buried.  It has been almost 6 years since we said goodbye and seeing her headstone is always emotional.  You never get over losing a child, but you do learn to live with the grief and pain.  Jesse and Breyan have been very interested in hearing their sister's story, and even though it is hard for me to tell, I know that it has to be done.  Here are all of my babies in the same place for the first time!


We visited with Casey's aunt & uncle in IF for a few hours, then drove up to Rexburg to spend a few days with my sister, Kelli, and her family.
The kids loved playing with their cousins and they were all pretty well behaved. considering there were five kids, ages 5 and under.
Jesse loved playing on the scooter and bike.  He also wore a green alligator shirt, shorts, and cowboy boots everywhere.

We took one evening and went on the BYUI campus so I could take Albaugh Family photos.  We had to get one of all the kids together.

My nephew Tyler decided to see what would happen if he pinched Jesse's ear.  I watched the whole thing through my camera in order to get this shot. 

 

 

Casey spent most of his time fishing with his friends while Kelli and I played.  We went to the waterpark one afternoon.  We did Zumba a couple of times.    One night we did fireworks.  We all just had fun being together. 

We spent our last night in IF with Casey aunt & uncle, then took off for Texas early the next morning.  We drove from Idaho Falls, ID to Gunnison, CO on the first day, then drove the rest of the way home the following day.  It was hard on all of us, but we made it and look forward to visint everyone again as soon as we can!
