A Much Needed Update

Things are finally settling down into a routine again, and I can give some quick updates on our most recent happenings.

* Mom and the kids took a week long trip to Boise! We played, ate, and went to the zoo. Grandma Crummett made Breyan two super cute shirts, and Jesse became good friends with Uncle Spencer. He now refers to my parents' house as "Spencer's House." Both kids became landing site for Jenny's birds at some point, and we spent many hours talking and laughing!

* Jenny spent a week in Evanston! We kidnapped my baby sister for a week and the kids LOVED having her around. Jesse jumped on her most mornings and was constantly asking her questions about EVERYTHING. We went swimming, made cinnamon rolls, and went on walks almost every day to see the moose and geese. At the end of the week Grandma and Grandpa Crummett came to get her and we got to spend a day with them before they headed back to B-town.

*Breyan started sleeping in a toddler bed!!! I know she's young, but she was able to climb out of the crib, even with the mattress lowered all the way, and she was climbing into Jesse's bed and pretending to sleep so we thought we'd give it a try. I took an afternoon and converted the crib into a toddler bed and she loves it! The only problem comes from the kids sharing a room- we have to put them to sleep at different times or turn Bree's bed around so she can't climb out and wake her brother up, or sneak into the bathroom and make some sort of mess. She's really enjoying the independence of getting out of bed when she wakes up and I love seeing her toddle into my room each morning!

*We had a very nice, low-key Mother's Day. Casey got me a bamboo plant. He gave me one when we were dating and I ended up killing it, so this is my second chance! The kids made cute little gifts in Nursery and Primary. I still made dinner, but Casey kept the kids busy so I could have the kitchen all to myself and work without stepping on anyone!

I remember that first bamboo plant! I remember pulling over to the side of the road and getting rocks out of a creek to put in the bowl. That was a fun trip with that plant! :)
